Czech Republic Bohemian Paradise

Diverse landscapes and architectural gems, that is the Czech Republic. This country in the centre of Europe has a lot to offer: an enormous number of castles and chateaus, urban conservation areas and other attractive sights of the Renaissance, the Baroque, Art Nouveau and beautiful folk architecture.

Photo tours in Czech Republic are amazing because there is such a breadth of things to explore, including the medieval architecture, ancient buildings, the people and of course the mouth-watering food. This is a vacation to remember!

Day 1: Your arrival to Prague

Prague is interwoven with legends and myths. The streets are romantically narrow the same way they were in times of kings and knights. The facades of buildings reflect an old and exquisite architectural style. Immerse yourself and let the stones tell the story of a city that is pure history.

Our tour begins in Prague, which is teeming with fascinating history. The Old Town Square, which is in the central part of the city's old town, is a photographer's paradise with the Old Town Hall on one side and the Church of Our Lady Tyn on the other. The beautiful St Nicholas Church provides the perfect backdrop for beautiful photos. Prague Castle, Havel’s Market and Charles Bridge are among the other interesting places to see.

Day 2 – 3: Bohemian Paradise and East Bohemia

We begin our journey by driving to the Bohemian Paradise. Photographers will surely appreciate the rocky towers surrounded by deep forests. The Hruboskalské rock town is one of the most famous sights here. It is a sand stone plate that is approximately 80 meters thick, resting on top of clay rocks. Springs flow over the impermeable clay, including those forming the famous spa in Sedmihorky. The bizarre ruin of Trosky castle is magnificently overlooking the impressive landscape. You will get a chance to photograph the Trosky castle ruins, from which you will have breathtaking views of the landscape.

Another unique landmark and a very unexpected combination is the dam Les Kralovstvi that seems to have escaped straight from a fairy tale. All it's missing is a princess living in the towers. The architecture of this water reservoir is truly magnificent. Les Kralovstvi, which was constructed in 1910, is one of the most beautiful water reservoirs.

Day 4 – 5: South Moravia

In for some wine tasting? South Moravia is the place for you! Marvel in its quaint charm from the vineyards and rolling hills. There are ample opportunities for amazing photography in the countryside. For instance, you can get some excellent shots of beautiful yellow rapeseed fields. We will get access to the wonderfully painted wine cellars, where you can taste local wine and gorge on delicious meals.

The Lednice-Valtice area is the pearl of Southern Moravia which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The castle which was built in the English Tudor Gothic style is situated on the right bank of the river Dyje. The surrounding park combines both French and English landscaping elements. We will spend two nights in the immediate vicinity of the castle Lednice.

Day 6 – 7: South Bohemia

Experience the ambience of the town of Cesky Krumlov which offers countless romantically curved pathway and many small handicraft shops, cafes and medieval taverns. The River Vltava meanders through the medieval city centre. The castle complex is formed by several courtyards and is the second largest after Prague castle. In the nearby chateau park there is a rotating auditorium where spectators can experience unique theatrical performances during the summer nights directly in the nature.

Among other picturesque castles is the Rozmberk Castle, which is in the town of Rozmberk. The castle is located in the upper part, but can be seen from everywhere. The architecture is stunning, while the view from the tower is gorgoeus.

As in another world you will feel while photographing the village Holašovice. Holašovice has a hint of village where modern times did not penetrate. The village is known for well-preserved south bohemian folk architecture in the style of rural baroque which dates back to the second half of the 19th century. Beautifully painted cottages connected with arched gates give the place a unique atmosphere.

We will return to Prague in late afternoon of Day 7
