In this workshop, you will get started with the essentials of photography. After everybody is on the same page, we dive right into two of the most important fields of photography: taking great pictures of people and handling cities and architecture.

You will learn the technical side of taking great pictures, getting good exposures and getting good colors. But equally important in photography, you will learn the secrets of great image composition.

With assignments and image review & critique sessions, you will be able to quickly see your progress and learn even faster from analyzing the pictures of others.

About Chris Marquardt
Workshops with Chris Marquardt are famous for having a very friendly atmosphere and it's really important that all participants have fun while learning something new or extending their skills. He has taught photography to groups since 2006, and prides himself to be able to cater to quite diverse groups that have very mixed skill-sets.

In addition to some theory, there is a very healthy portion of hands-on learning in these workshops. "You can't learn how to ride a bicycle just by reading books about it"

Is this workshop for you?
This workshop is open to everyone with a digital camera who wants to advance their photography. Basic camera knowledge will help, but is not strictly required.

The workshop will take place in Chris Marquardt's studio in the heart of the Tübingen French Quarter. The French Quarter is a photographic treasure trove, known for its wonderful mix of old and modern, colors and brickwork, interesting architecture and an easy going lifestyle.
